Integrated Science (Junior Form)

School Major Concern 1:

To strengthen Information literacy to promote learning effectiveness, utilising Artificial Intelligence to nurture a new generation of digital savvy citizens.

 

Subject Major Concerns:

  1. Promote interdisciplinary collaboration within the learning areas.
  2. Develop inquiry-based junior secondary curricula grounded in real-life contexts to enhance students’ innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.

 

Routine Subject-based Concerns:

  1. Language Across the Curriculum (LAC) helps students master English language  skills related to the field of science.
  1. Address the learning diversity of newly arrived children from the mainland to help them excel to the best of their abilities.
  1. Enrich the content of learning guides to naturally connect and organically integrate “knowledge,” “affection,” and “action” in order to enhance elements  of national security education.
  1. Implement the 4Cs program for non-Chinese speaking students, with the  ultimate goal of facilitating their integration into the Hong Kong community.
  1. Teach moderate portion in extension courses/the latest scientific information
  2. Evaluate what students have learned in different ways(e.g.: recite dictation: science concepts)
  3. Invite high-achieving students to join extra science activities
  1. Provide fundamental science vocabularies and train students’ writing and organizational skills
