2016/02 – AFFECTION, SENSE OF BELONGING, MISSION, INHERITANCE

The development of CCC Kwei Wah Shan College Alumni Association has been progressing more maturely in recent years. It is mostly appreciated that not only have they brought together lots of alumni from different era, they also have given tremendous support and made prodigious contribution to the school development. I truly believe that each alumnus loves the alma mater. They thank the alma mater for her cultivation and care as well as the teachers for their guidance and encouragement in the past, which has lead them to the way of present accomplishment and achievement. In return, our alumni are delighted to give assistance and make a contribution to the alma mater.

In those years, we have established deep and long-lasting friendships with other alumni and teachers. This relationship enables us to reunite as long-lost friends, recounting about the times we spent and sharing the fond memories we made together in the past. We will always cherish those memories of the simple life that have given us lots of reflection and hindsight.

Apart from affection, sense of belonging is another reason for us to gather together. As an alumnus of Kwei Wah Shan College, you will always be with us and a significant part of the school history. As the saying goes, “A Wahshanian a day is a Wahshanian a life.” Kwei Wah Shan College is always your alma mater.

I am very impressed that our alumni are very enthusiastic and have a strong sense of mission to help the alma mater. In response to the education and the nurture they received here in the past, they are always willing to contribute to the alma mater by helping the younger fellows to be like them – developing their potentials, accomplishing their dreams, inheriting the traditions of Kwei Wah Shan College, and carrying on the spirit of the school motto “Love Thy Neighbour As Thyself”.

The first Saturday in March is the Homecoming Day of Kwei Wah Shan College every year. It is a big day for us to come together again to renew updates, to meet old friends, to make friend with younger fellows, and to share fond memories and stories with everyone. I sincerely invite all of you to come to the Homecoming Day this year on 5th March, 2016.

I wish you all happiness and good health!

Mr. Cheng Lai-lam, Felix
Principal
